Noted that you have already attempted deletion of Local Keychain (the numbered folder) so you realise that in doing so you will lose web form passwords, mail passwords and credit card info (if stored), just thought I should mention it - but not knowing about iCloud Keychain that data might be brought back over from the cloud or from other devices (if you have any). ![]() I don't use iCloud Keychain (never liked the idea of my passwords flying round the net!) but you mentioned your suspicions that iCloud could be behind the problem, and because iCloud links things together maybe you should attempt the fix on both machines together - just a wild guess though. ![]() not the complete Keychain folder so leaving the Login Keychain untouched) - then restart both machines. You have most likely seen this as well Change or reset the password of a macOS user account - Apple Support but you might have missed the comment towards the end:įailing that the only other thought is you try deleting the "Local Keychain" (the folder that's named with numbers) again - but this time do it on both machines at the same time, make sure Keychain Access is closed and just delete that folder from within the Keychain folder of Finder (i.e. /rebates/&.com252ficloud-tips252ffix-icloud-keychain-security-code-not-working. There is no "Reset password" button on the dialog.
